Tuesday Talks: Dan Zoto: The Archaeology of Cape Cod

Please join archaeologist, Dan Zoto, on March 25th at 5PM for an exciting ‘Tuesday Talks’. Dan will discuss his archaeological work as well as the archaeology of the Cape Cod seashore. Dan will explain the concepts and frameworks of cultural resource management such that it ensures the protection of its archeological resources. The talk will summarize past and present archeological research and provide insights into Native American and Euro-American land use on the Outer Cape. Dan will also be open to questions and discussion at the end of his presentation.

About Dan Zoto:

Dan Zoto holds a B.A. in Anthropology from UMass, Amherst and an M.A. in Anthropology from UConn. He has worked as a professional archaeologist since 2010. Dan has published several articles about the archaeology of southern New England, including Cape Cod. His research interests include stone tools, lithic sourcing, coastal archaeology, and historic cemeteries.
