Kids’ Activities

The Atwood Museum is perfect for visitors of all ages. Kids can make music on our bells in front of the museum, roam around the building finding objects for our scavenger hunt (they’ll even get a prize!), put together our floor puzzle map of Cape Cod, answer riddles in the Children’s Corner, or enjoy any of the other interactive areas of the museum.

A Great Find
If like us, you don’t want to sit on the beach every day, this is well worth a visit. We have an 11y/o and very active 6y/old twins. I was initially concerned about the twins, who tire of museums very quickly but a lovely lady working at the front desk gave them each a scavenger hunt sheet with pictures of items from all around the museum to tick off, perfect!! It kept them engaged and gave myself and my husband a chance to actually look at the really well presented displays about the local history of the town. It is a small museum and we spent about an hour and a half there. We were also lucky enough to get a quick guided tour of the older part of the house by a very well informed tour guide, who again went out of her way to engage my two youngsters. Thank you to all who work there, it was a perfect morning activity!
