Donna Kaufmann, Education Chair

Donna worked as an Elementary School Library Teacher for 11 years in the Acton, MA and Hudson, MA school districts.  Her passion for reading and promoting literacy empowered students to become critical thinkers and users of information in today’s complex environment.  During her tenure in public schools, she served on district curriculum committees and worked closely with district leaders and teachers to develop and implement a plan for remote teaching during the Covid-19 outbreak.

A summer resident of Chatham for over 30 years, Donna made North Chatham her primary residence when she retired in 2022.

Donna is a Board member of the Women’s Club of Chatham as well as a member of the Chatham Garden Club in which she is the Leader of the Atwood Garden volunteers.  She is an avid reader belonging to several local and off cape book groups.

Donna holds a Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education License as well as a Master’s degree in Library and Information Science and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
