Virginia T. Nickerson

Ginny Nickerson, graduated from Garland Junior College, in Boston and from the University of Denver with a BA in Printmaking. She has served our Chatham community by being a Board member of the Chatham Merchant’s Association for 19 years, while she owned her family business, The Children’s Shop. She has served as President of The Chatham Angel Fund, is a Corporator of Cape Cod Five, served on the Town of Chatham Finance Committee, and is a former Board member of The Creative Arts Center, plus she has served on many local, non-profit committees.

She has been awarded by the Rotary Club of Chatham as “Person of the Year”, was nominated as an “Unsung Heroines of Massachusetts” and received the “Community Business Award” by the CMA. Former co-owner of Nickerson Art Gallery, she is actively painting pastels and is represented at Gallery Antonia in Chatham.
