When Passion and Purpose Collide: The Story of The Family Table Collaborative

Jeni Wheeler is the Co-Founder and Director of the Family Table Collaborative. She will tell the unique story of how the Family Table Collaborative, whose mission is to increase nutritional security on Cape Cod, using a social enterprise model, layering business concepts to solve societal needs, came to be, and why it’s a critical component in changing the dialogue around what’s possible in this space. Jeni‘s leveraged her personal journey and experiences  and combined them with her Babson MBA, with a focus in Social Entrepreneurship, to be able to see collaborations where others did not, bridges where previously there were none, and a way to message the possibility instead of the stigma around nutritional security, where the bottom line is that healthier people create healthier communities. Please join us for what is bound to be an educational and entertaining evening, where love is sure to be the secret ingredient.

Admission: $10 This lecture is special fundraiser where profits will be split 50/50 between the Family Table Collaborative and the Atwood Museum. As such, this lecture is NOT free for members. The cost of admission is $10 for everyone. Thank you for you support!

About Jeni Wheeler:

Jeni has more than 20 years of experience as a successful entrepreneur and currently serves as Founder and Chief Culinary Artist of Jeni’s Joy, a boutique prepared foods, private chef, and catering company. She specializes as an agent of creation/change, in operational set-up and oversight, growth strategy, policy creation, and adoption of best practices. She has a passion for nutritious and delicious food and loves teaching through her online cooking show Fun with Food, in conjunction with the Cape Cod Culinary Incubator. She also serves as Vice-Chair of Leadership Cape Cod and is a 2019 graduate of their Community Leadership Institute program. Jeni obtained her MBA from Babson University in ‘05, with a focus on Social Entrepreneurship. A longtime resident of the North Shore, Jeni made her way to Cape Cod after suffering significant injuries in an accident and requiring rehabilitation at Spaulding. She has developed a true love for Cape Cod and the Islands and is committed to fighting to end hunger and shift the focus to nutritional security.
