The Atwood Museum is offering a sleigh-full of activities and events to celebrate a month of Holiday Magic at the Atwood. Exhibits throughout the Museum will be decorated for the season, to help you get into the Christmas spirit.

Grub with the Grinch:
Saturday, December 14, will be filled with Holiday Magic. From 9 a.m. – 11 a.m., families can have “Grub with the Grinch” with the Grinch himself. There will be holiday and Grinch themed breakfast foods served. The Grinch will even sit down to read a story to all of his guests. Admission is $16 for both adults and children. On December 14, from 1 pm – 4 pm, Santa will be visiting for our annual Hearthwarming event. Come and experience the Old Atwood House the way it was 200 years ago! Enjoy cider and cookies and have pictures taken with our highly popular, Jolly Old Elf.
Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for children, and members receive free admission. Admission can be paid at the door.
Historic Hauls Year End Sale:
Historic Hauls is back! Enjoy the Atwood Museum’s annual year-end sale in the Museum Shop. Look through our well-stocked and eclectic shop and find the perfect gift for friends and family or yourself!
Some of our items include pottery, stationary, jewelry, beeswax candles, pewter ware, woven baskets, painted shaker boxes, sea salt, and SO much more! Not to mention our extensive stock of books for adults and children!
The Museum Shop will be open during museum hours throughout December (Fri & Sat 1-4 PM) but it is also available during the week Mon – Fri, just ring the doorbell and we’ll be happy to let you in and shop!

The Atwood Store sleigh will be open for our annual “Stuff-a-Sleigh” drive on behalf of Monomoy Community Services, where all are invited to donate new or gently used hats, scarves, and mittens for children in need. Come and help Chatham kids!
You can drop off hats, scarves, and mittens during museum hours (Fri & Sat 1 – 4 PM) or ring the museum doorbell Mon thru Fri between 9 AM and 4 PM
